Advanced Training and Retreat

Roots of Mindfulness with Domicilium

with Dr. Svea von Hehn and Dr. Shamsey Oloko

We are delighted to offer a special six-day training program in collaboration with Domicilium, the Center for Zen, Spirituality, and Education, dedicated to exploring the original spiritual roots of mindfulness.

Mindfulness has rapidly gained popularity in the modern world—often detached from its original meaning. What began as a profound and disciplined mental practice with spiritual foundations is now frequently understood as a tool for self-optimization or wellness. With this training, we aim to refocus on the essence of mindfulness and make its connection to key concepts of Buddhist teachings tangible.

What Is It About?

In this seminar, we explore key concepts such as nonduality, emptiness, and non-self, connecting them to mindfulness practice. We combine theoretical insights with practical self-exploration, drawing on both current scientific research and hands-on experience.

Our goal is to help participants develop a deep understanding of the original teachings of mindfulness and experience their transformative power in their own practice. The Buddhist teachings form the core of this training. Prior experience in mindfulness or meditation is helpful but not required.
