How did you get into mindfulness and why did you stick with it?
What role does mindfulness play in your life?

Without knowing the term, mindfulness - at least in everyday practice - has been part of my life for a long time. As a child, I remember taking “mental photos” of my favorite moments in order to notice every detail and the feeling in a situation very precisely and memorize it. I then delved deeper in a more structured way into the subject in my early 20s when a book on mindfulness and neuroplasticity prompted me to swap my job in industry for a second degree in psychology. I started meditating, did my yoga teacher training and have been working on the subject both personally and professionally as a trainer ever since. Today, I can no longer imagine life without mindfulness,  and I still love taking mental photos.

What is your motivation/purpose for your work as a MOMENTUM trainer?

One of my favorite quotes is: “We don't see the world as it is, we see it as we are” (Anaïs Nin, writer). It always reminds me how important and powerful my perspective can be. In my personal experience, perspective and approach to life challenges have a huge impact on wellbeing. Mindfulness opens up the opportunity to pause and reflect. As a MOMENTUM trainer, my hope is to inspire others to do the same.

As a MOMENTUM trainer, where do you most clearly see the importance and effectiveness of mindfulness training for companies?

We all know the feeling of tunnel vision under stress - this is often the trigger for conflict and frustration in daily work life. MOMENTUM offers the opportunity to pause, look at everyday things from a new perspective and teaches skills to find a new approach. Participants report that moments of self-reflection provide new insights and empower them to navigate their daily work more effectively.

What do you think makes the MOMENTUM program unique?

Mindfulness, as a modern buzzword, can sometimes seem abstract and hard to grasp. MOMENTUM offers a structured overview of the multitude of meditation apps and instructions. Instead of incense sticks, MOMENTUM offers well-founded scientific findings, everyday reflection exercises and personal exchange - these aspects characterize MOMENTUM.
